Why green
Draft 02 was white with a black print. Clean, and safe. The heavy cotton we wanted came in seven colours, white among them. We chose deep green, on purpose: a colour you notice from across the street, not the colour every first tee comes in.
Green and pale yellow. The pair comes from a Japanese book of colour combinations from the 1930s, where a deep green and a pale lemon yellow sit side by side. Two colours you would not put together at first, and they look right together. That is the idea behind the brand in one tee: nobody is one thing.
A new back. The small name under the collar became something you can read from across a room: Kousesh in our script, set at an angle, with two small lines underneath. NOBODY IS ONE THING. says what the brand is about. WARSAW · EST. 2026 says where and when it started.
A bigger label. The label inside the neck grew to about 5 cm, so the small letters print cleanly and stay readable.
Changing is the point. The words on the front stay exactly as they were: still becoming. A brand that says nobody is finished should not pretend it was finished on day one. That is why Draft 02 stays on this page. It is how we got here.
Where we are
The first sample is ordered and on its way. When it arrives we try it on, cut the hem, photograph it and wash it five times to see how the print, the colour and the raw edge behave. The photos here are made from that design, not from the real tee yet. Real ones follow.
Still open
The exact length after the cut, how much the cotton shrinks in the wash, and the final number of sizes. Ten pieces in the first run, each one numbered by hand.
