The first piece is now a set: a heavyweight hoodie and a pair of loose sweatpants, made to be worn together. It is being designed in the open — decisions included.

Why a set

A hoodie on its own is a single piece. A set is a uniform — something you put on for the work, the same way every time. That is closer to what Kousesh is about than any single item could be.

Decisions so far

One colour for both pieces. A warm off-white, closer to undyed cotton than to a bright white. It wears in rather than out.

Lilac only where it means something. The name across the chest, the K on the back, a thin band at the top of the back pocket and a small K in its corner. Nothing else.

Rounded letters, front and back. The K on the back has rounded ends, softer than the sharp mark we use online — on fabric they read better and age better. The name on the chest is drawn the same way, tall and set close together, and every K in the set has the same shape, so the whole set speaks one language.

A small W for Warsaw. A little circle with a W sits at the tip of the K on the back, the way it does in our mark. A tiny one sits at the top right of the H on the chest — you only notice it up close.

Heavy fabric, no compromise. Around 480 g/m² French terry. It costs more and ships heavier. It is also the difference between a piece that holds its shape for years and one that sags after a season.

Sweatpants with no ankle cuffs. A straight, loose leg of the same width all the way down. It falls cleanly instead of bunching at the ankle.

No drawcords on the hoodie. They fray, they tangle, they are the first thing to look cheap. The hood works without them.

Still open

The print method, the final size of the print on the chest, the hood shape, and whether the sweatpants keep their drawcords. Those come next.
